The situation remains deadlocked, and Mr. O'Keeffe continues to languish in a hospital in the Dominican despite having an insurance policy. What will happen is unknown, but it should serve as a warning to all potential travelers exotic locations. The fact that the trips of this nature are generally costly, should play a role in the insurance plan budget in the initial cost, and that concessions should be made for any activity "dangerous" could do - off-piste skiing and snowboarding, for example. The last thing that everybody wants is to end the freeze on top of the mountain with a broken ankle and not want to use an air ambulance because of costs involved. Plan carefully and a trip of a lifetime can be easily had.
