How can I delete a Windows XP operating system?

I just upgraded from Windows 2000 Professional to Windows XP Professional. When I start the computer, I have two operating systems and does not want the XP Professional. How I can remove Windows 2000 system of exploitation? People have said earlier that just insert the disk and boot from the CD and must be removed, but has for some reason.

He had three versions of Windows XP on my computer for about a year before understanding the problem ..... PPL I know I said to insert the disk, but when I delete the previous calls. partitioned space ... do. I hope that helps RLY
