Can I install Microsoft Office for Mac on the two computers with a single disk?
My sister and I are both going to buy laptops Mac was. I wanted to Microsoft Office for Mac (and install it on my own laptop) and I wondered if I could use the same disk to install on my sister's computer. Is this possible? Difficult to understand, I know.
Physically, yes. Legally, yes, if you have a multi-user license. If you do not have license multi-user, there is nothing that can prevent you from loading the software on 2 computers (or more). You can register the software on a computer but not another. The computer software recorded can receive online updates others should not (go online to get updates with a pirated version is risky). Anyway, if you choose to install the software on 2 computers without a license multi-user, two computers can not be connected (hard-line or otherwise) to an intranet and use the software simultaneously. When launched software, the intranet is connected to see if other computers with the same software under the same license.
