As an amateur to turn pro photorapher?
My boyfriend is an avid photographer who loves taking pictures of landscapes and portraits. He spent a fortune in the state of the art cameras and studio equipment and talks about his professional debut and make a career there. But things seem to make any progress and that starts disheartened by all. Has anyone received any advice or encouragement that could help realize his dream? Or better yet, directs the work or advice on whee he could go to get attention. Cheers!
Although I must admit I do not know much about turning pro. But if your boyfriend likes digital photography, or you have a scanner, I say get a flickr account. Flickr is a site for sharing photos of all types of photographers and an opportunity for he has some kind of recognition and inspiration.
