Having many degree, many highly selective universities. 2. He speaks several languages. 3. Read publications like The Nation, The New York Review of Books and The New Yorker. 4. They live in very expensive places, namely, Cambridge, Mass., Manhattan, San Francisco, Lakeshore Drive, in Chicago, the Capitol in DC. 5. They tend to speak louder in Europe, including Scandinavia. 6. They tend to go for foreign policy, another tea is, instead of Yerba Lipton tea, instead of Cold Duck, is Beaujolais instead of Budweiser, is Chimay Belgian Ale, instead of Wonder Bread, is a baguette instead of Velveeta cheese is French, rather Fox, PBS, etc.. So where does the "elitist" label?
